Tuesday 10th September 2024
We were up early with honey yoghurt and granola for breakfast.
We packed up and headed back into Malton, returning to Wentworth St car park.
Popped into Derek Fox butchers picked up some great food:
- Peppered beef rolls
- Beef truffle
- 4 Yorkshire sausages
- Bacon and cheese scotch egg
Nice wee haul that will do for a breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We then proceeded to Kemp’s bookstore where Gayle picked up “The Salt Path”, looks like a cheery wee tale.
Then into Thomas the Baker for some other goodies:
- Yorkshire curd tart
- Tea cakes
- Date and walnut scones
We popped into Scoops which does a lot of dried goods by the scoop…
- Mix of trail mixes
- Muesli mixes
- Yoghurt covered things mix
And some liquorice, chutney and rum and raisin fudge.
Finally into Sainsbury’s and picked up veg for with our butcher’s haul.
It was a fair drive from Malton to our next site Kip & Nook so we popped into Northallerton for a bit of lunch.
Then into the Yorkshire Legend “Bettys” for a couple of fat rascals, and a chocolate shop called “Beau Cocoa” where we picked up a nice box of chocolates.
We arrived at Kip & Nook around 3:10pm and pitched up, it was very windy.
Over to the Workshop for drinks and games of pool and darts.
It’s a fantastic site, the onsite facilities are really nice, and the bar area (the Workshop) is great.
We had pre-booked pizza and we opted for Salami and mushroom with hot honey and Sausage and caramelised onion
Both were cooked to perfection, well worth it!
Our 4g WiFi was getting a good signal again, woohoo so we got to catch up on our favourite Youtubers.
The big attraction of Kip & Nook is that you can have a pitch with a hot-tub, and while we thought it was a bit too cold and windy on Tuesday, we made full use of it the next day…
