Home from Tantallon

Sunday 30th June 2024

We got up late, I didn’t wake ’til 7am, we lay chatting and watching a bit of TV, nice leisurely morning, the skies were ominously grey.

I cooked sausages, bacon grill, eggs and beans in the Trangia pans, it’s a bit of an effort to get right, but they came out pretty good, the bacon grill in particular was pretty tasty.

Definitely impressed by how the Trangia performs with gas in windy weather (at least in comparison to the Cadac).

We had to retreat back into the van when a shower came on, but it didn’t last, and after that it brightened up and was pretty warm.

We packed up and headed home, via a trip to look at a possible new motorhome, ultimately disappointed tho’, but it’s another “good candidate” off the list.

All in all our trip to Tantallon was a great weekend, it’s hard to believe we were away for less than 48 hours, Tantallon is definitely worth a visit, and North Berwick is one of our favourite places.

Next trip…across the water from Tantallon to East Fife!
