Sunday 5th May 2024
We were up late, and I got to try the showers on-site, the actual shower was great, but the cubicle had nowhere to stash anything, so…it was tricky keeping things dry.
We had a light breakfast, cherry yoghurt and dark chocolate granola, definitely a bit healthier than yesterday’s brioche.
We played Scrabble again, followed the rules this time, and it was great fun.
We had spotted that the on-site restaurant was serving Sunday Lunch, so we wandered down shortly after 1pm, they required bookings, and we didn’t have one, but the staff were very helpful in accommodating us.
We both had a a really nice thick lentil soup, amazing roast beef with all trimmings, drinks and dessert, cheese cake and sticky toffee pudding, for around £52 including drinks, the roast beef in particular was a great plate of tasty food.
We rolled back up the hill to the van, bit of reading and watching tv, too full for a full dinner, another nice relaxing day and we crashed late on, after watching the first episode of Monsieur Spade which is intriguing.
