We were up late, and had a tear-and-share vanilla custard brioche for breakfast, not our healthiest breakfast in the van, but tasty nonetheless…
It was murky and misty outside, and there aren’t many good walking routes outside of the site, so we broke out “pass the pigs” which is honestly great fun.
After a few rounds of the game, we switched to another game from our on-board stash, Travel Scrabble!
We didn’t quite get the rules right first time, but again, it was really great fun.
The letters are a bit small, but it works well on the small table we have in the van.
After the weather lightened a bit, we went for a wander round the site, and down to the little on-site beach, there were only a few folks there, it was spitting light rain and we had a nice relaxing seat on the rocks down by the water.
We were keen to stretch our legs a bit, so we went for a wander along the A75 a short distance (not for the faint-of-heart) and then down to the 1littlefarm shop.
We had their last two scones, one fruit, and the other cheese, long with a coffee and mocha, and we had the opportunity to sit outside in the sun for a bit, lovely views down to the sea, there’s a campsite here too Mossyard.
We picked up some cheese and oat cakes from the shop, and headed back, it’s a shame there’s no short-cut from the shop to the site, as you can see the caravans on the furthest pitches from the road out of the farm.
For dinner, we had a chicken stir-fry, we discovered that we didn’t have any rice in the van, fortunately, a quick climb to the shop rescued things, definitely handy having a shop onsite.
Again, we watched some TV and read until time to make up the bed and crash!
